A Simplified Representation of the Local Labor Market: Case of Durrës District

Abstract

The study of the local labor market for the Durres, the results of which can be used successfully in the treatment of various issues of the labor market for other districts of Albania or similarly regions, it is one more opportunity to understand better the challenge of employment, as a phenomenon that brings many social and economic cost for the country. This study focuses on analyzing the characteristics of the regional labor market, the problems faced by workers, the unemployed and employers who are the main factors in determining the status of the work. The main objective is to analyze the structure of the regional labor market, the main issues discussed facing employees, the unemployed and employers. Besides secondary data, in order to achieve the purpose and objectives of this study are also collecting primary data through surveys conducted in the region of Durres, the labor supply and demand for labor, which surveyed 380 individuals over the age of 16 years and 100 representatives of public and private entities through random selection technique. Results to be taken will be used as a basis on which to develop advanced analysis to the challenges of the labor market. They will also serve to orient research to determine the instruments and ways to be followed to verify the hypotheses of work, formulated on various issues, the subject of this study. In the literature of the time, gender, age, residence , education level and marital status among the factors considered significant impact on the success of integration in the labor market . Study the effects of these factors on the development of various issues related to the local labor market is one of the issues addressed in this paper.
