Peer Review Policy

Peer Review Policy

The International Journal of Research and Development (IJRD) applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, integrity, and international scholarly standards.

All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to evaluate their relevance to the journal’s aims and scope, originality, ethical compliance, and adherence to submission guidelines. Manuscripts that pass this screening are reviewed by a minimum of two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.

The double-blind review process guarantees that:

  • The identities of authors are concealed from reviewers

  • The identities of reviewers are concealed from authors

Reviewers assess manuscripts according to clearly defined criteria, including originality, scientific soundness, methodological rigor, theoretical contribution, clarity of presentation, relevance to the field, and ethical standards.

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Editor-in-Chief or the assigned handling editor makes one of the following decisions: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. Revised manuscripts may be subject to additional rounds of review.

To ensure transparency and integrity:

  • Reviewers are selected independently and must declare any potential conflicts of interest

  • Manuscripts are evaluated solely on academic merit, without regard to authors’ institutional affiliation, nationality, gender, or seniority

  • Editorial decisions are free from commercial or financial influence
