Abstract

This paper examines the impact of European law on the development of policies and legislation in Albania, analyzing the challenges and prospects of integration into the European Union. The process of Albania's accession to the EU is a long and complex journey that requires compliance with European standards and the implementation of necessary reforms in various fields such as justice, human rights, and the economy. The focus is on alignment with European standards, the role of institutions, and the importance of reforms in key areas such as justice, human rights, and the economy. One of the main challenges is the establishment of stable and effective institutions that can support the implementation of EU legislation. This includes strengthening the judicial system and public administration, as well as addressing issues of corruption and organized crime. The significance of these reforms is essential to ensure a favorable environment for economic development and to guarantee human rights. Additionally, the Berlin Process and the Stabilization and Association Council are important mechanisms that help strengthen relations between Albania and the EU. These initiatives promote regional cooperation and provide opportunities to address common issues such as migration and economic development. This paper emphasizes that, to achieve successful integration into the EU, Albania must continue to engage in deep and sustainable reforms, focusing on improving institutions and respecting European standards. Only in this way can Albania hope for a successful future in the European Union.
