The Impact of Artificial Intelligence in the Labor Market Dynamics of Kosovo

Abstract

This paper serves as an attempt to shed more light on the impact of AI within the labor market context of Kosovo. It remains an important attempt due to the very limited body of research in an objectively nascent area of research. The research for the needs of this paper utilizes a mixed methods research as to best represent the current situation. The paper relies heavily on secondary sources and document review from reputable authors and organization, but graphs and tables have been added too. It must be noted that most of the research is a product of important and recent data carried by reputable local and international organizations. The paper has been able to come up with several relevant conclusions regarding the impact of AI on the labor market of Kosovo. AI in the context of Kosovo could be perceived as both beneficial and somehow threatening. Specifically, it could enhance the possibilities for the current young and tech-savvy population, but it could also endanger their older and less skilled counterparts. In the end, the effects for labor market of Kosovo are rather unclear, but could be steered in the right direction with the right response.
